Easy Shopping!

We did some rearranging this week to make it easy to shop for all of the little holidays and gift giving events coming up.  Front and center is our Mother's Day table...

Then, we have our graduation table.  You know that one of my favorites are the Talleyho cosmetic bags and jewelry rounds for special gifts.  The friendship bracelets are only $6 and are good friend-to -friend gifts.  They are cute stacked with other bracelets for the summer!
Soon after Mother's Day is Father's Day...
Then, we have the crib which is full of baby gifts right now...
The silver-plated turtle is still my favorite!  I'm tempted to get one to put on my stack of books on my bedside table.
And the best news of all is this...
Once all of this construction is over Lavish is finally going to have a little parking spot of it's own!  Say you are coming down the hill from Broad and you pass Lavish on the right, as soon as you turn right onto Madison, this spot will be on the right.  If you pass it or it is full, there will be three more ahead on the right.  Hot Diggity Dog!

Packing for France!

We leave for France next weekend and I am just now getting on the ball with packing and booking.  Brent and I are traveling light so that we won't waste any time on lost luggage and to make it easier to hop around France.  I am using the same backpack that I used six years ago when I went to Europe with friends.  I pulled out the bag last night and it looked tiny!  I'm afraid that I am no longer the light, efficient packer that I used to be!  Here are a few items that are coming with me...
Kai Roller Perfume, yuummmm
My tinted moisturizer with sunscreen
A Rikshaw Tunic

My new Sheridan French dress!!  It actually hasn't come in yet and I got it for another event, but think it will be perfect for France!  I've been wanting one forever!  Now please don't tell me that everyone in Paris dresses in all black like New York City.  If it is chilly, I might have to save it for the French Riviera.
Worishofers orthopedic shoes!  I read about these on the Rikshaw blog (she took them with her on her trip to India) and she swears that they are the most comfortable traveling shoes.  They are inexpensive and I think they will go with most of my outfits, so I hope they work out for me!

Turkish towel to use as a travel blanket and towel along the Mediterranean.
This next image is the hotel/bed and breakfast that we are staying at in Aix-en-Provence.  The hotel is on a bustling little street in the historic part of downtown with a restaurant downstairs.  All twelve bedrooms are unique and the decorating is just so French!  Can't wait!
And finally, here is a picture of the renovations outside today.  I Came to open and the street was closed and covered with tractors.  The bricks are slowly being uncovered and by Friday the street should be back open.
Ciao!

Add color to your home!

"Once upon a time,
long before modernism was invented,
gentle people embellished their homes with
fanciful objects of art.."

I always think that my life would be so much more simple if I could just use paper napkins and dishes that didn't have to be hand washed.  But that simply isn't me!
Dana Gibson has reinvented this tradition of embellishing homes with art with her painted wastebaskets, tissue box covers, and pillows.  They are here just in time to add a punch of color to your home for Spring.  I absolutely love the hot pink cheetah pillow for the middle of a couch or bed!

First day of Spring!

This little girl celebrated the first day of Spring with a new dress, new sandals, and a new blabla doll!
And she didn't bother waiting until she got home to put them on!

I'm still here!

My No.1 blog reader (my mother!) just reminded me that I haven't written a blog post lately.  It's been almost a month!  Just so you know, that doesn't mean that we haven't had much going on!  Here are a few of my favorites right now...
Starfish studs in gold or silver, $18.  Pop these in your easter basket!
More Turkish hand towels for Spring
We are now carrying Salt Water Sea Wee Sandals in Gold, White, Pink, Navy, and Brown. A staple to your Little's summer wardrobe!
These are my favorite bloomers by Rikshaw yet!

Plus, we just got in the cutest little Rikshaw dresses in sizes 2T and 4T.

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Conde Nast Magazine has announced that they will be publishing a Domino Magazine special edition called, "Domino, quick fixes" on April 17th!  Did you know that one of my lifetime dreams was to either be on the cover of domino or to be on the back page with "10 things that make me happy"?  Dreaming big, I know!  Here's a little reminiscing...

Can't wait to see what they've been up to!

Real Quick...

Don't forget, we have Valentine gifts for your man...
We also have TONS of fun cocktail and buffet/guest napkins.
This morning I woke up early and was WOWed by Juliska's 2012 Spring catalog...
TGIF!

Baby Pierce's Nursery

You probably remember the Baby Registry for Mary Lawrence and Ashly's baby, Pierce.  Mary Lawrence did such a beautiful job on his nursery...

I LOVE the bold fabric that she used on the drapes, then went neutral with her bedding and glider.  The Cameron 3-piece bedding set has always been one of my favorites and is so versatile.  She also added a boudoir sham and crib blanket from the Marlo collection to give the room a nice little touch.  Little Pierce has already come to visit me at Lavish a few times.  What a cutie!!

All sorts of stuff!

Most of you have probably seen our attic bedroom that we updated this summer, but none of you have seen our new bed... (colors from my phone are a little off!)
Hang on.  Let me first show you our monogrammed towels that we bought ourselves as a "making it through the renovation" gift to ourselves.  We went with the Esperanza Towels (Matouk) in ivory with navy trim and in my husbands initials.  Can't remember why I did them in Brent's initials, but I wouldn't change a thing about them.  And as far as spending a lot on towels (it is difficult to do), I will say that my mom still has her towels that she received as a wedding gift over 20 years ago and who knows how many times they have been used!  I went with ivory because we can't seem to keep our whites clean.
And no bed is complete without a little snuggle bug!  Still some finishing touches, but you get the gist!
And if you were wondering what it looked like before....
The room used to be my "dressing" room.  YIKES!!!
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, let me leave you with one of our Valentine's Day displays!

John Robshaw JUNIOR!

John Robshaw has come out with a Junior line of Bedding.  John Robshaw, Jr.  Here are the first two beds to kick of the line...

And here are two beds from his "regular" John Robshaw line for 2012

He never seems to disappoint, does he?
And tomorrow... a sneak peek of my bed at home.  Yay!

Scout

The twin bed is already in the window and Mr. Scout is on patrol! There's lots of construction on our corner (I better get used to it), so Scout has a lot to oversee!
And while I'm on here I might as well share this nightgown tunic by Eberjey:
Available in Pebble (shown), Sorbet Pink, and Navy.  Super comfy, super cute!

Blue and White

I just couldn't fight my little blue and white addiction...

So we ended picking up some blue and white lamps for Lavish while at Market...

Do you remember a few weeks ago when I did a post on my love for twin beds?  Well, we ordered a pair, and realized that we don't have room for two in our house (if you've seen our house you're probably thinking, "No, duh!"), so one's coming to Lavish later this week!  You will probably be seeing it on display in my front window.  And you guessed it.  It will temporarily be outfitted in blue and white! Will share pictures when it's ready!
