Kentucky Derby

Do you have any Derby Party plans for this Saturday? We are going to the annual Landmark's Kentucky Derby Party at Pebble Hill Plantation. It is always a treat and this year there will be an amazing band, Wiser Than Fools, playing 80's cover songs... from what I've heard! If you don't have plans yet, buy your ticket and come bet with us!!

I plan to make these yummmy Derby bars later in the week...

So if I can't zip up my derby dress, you know why!
I just realized... Cinco de Mayo Thursday, Derby on Saturday, and Mother's Day Sunday! Wow. Call me if you need a gift wrapped up for your Mama. 229.227.0079

Eberjey Lingerie...

I have been looking for a lingerie/nightie line that is flirty, flattering, but most importantly, comfy...and I have selected Eberjey! Eberjey was founded by two girls in 1996 who were on a mission to create cute lingerie that is comfortable to sleep and lounge around in.. Their signature panties, the "French Briefs" (which we will carry in all sorts of great colors), evolved in the dark days when underwear meant "bikini" or "thong". Eberjey pays careful attention to fabric quality, fit, and color. Here is a quick glimpse of what is headed to Lavish!! (even though these are shown on models, eberjey has just enough little spandex to look flattering on all shapes and sizes!)

Coffee to go, Please!!

Unfortunately Americans are always on the go, which means our coffee is too! Thanks to one of my favorite leather good suppliers, we now have reusable and super chic coffee sleeves. I am so excited about this new product because 1. I've never seen these before 2. I LOVE mugs and hate using to-go cups, but now this will be fun. And 3. They are reusable!! What a Fun gift for those who seem to have everything!

To-go cup sleeve, $28. Comes in fushia (shown), teal, petal pink, and deep purple

On its way to Lavish...Lilly Pulitzer Fragrance Line!!

Summer is almost here and Lavish is so excited to be bringing in a clean, fresh and flirty perfume line that will remind you of sunny days at the beach! The Lilly Pulitzer collection has three scents: Beachy, Squeeze, and Wink :)
Beachy
Opens with notes of sliced watermelon, sunny citrus and marine air acord. The sun sets on the fragrance with a blend of jasmine blossom, tiare flower, golden amber, and sweet vanilla. Follow the sun!

Squeeze
is spiked with top notes of exotic lychee, juicy pink grapefruit lotus blossom, and wild rose petals. It then finishes off with sun drenched woods and water musk.

Wink
Sparkling pear nectar, watery pink fresia, lily blossom, warm amber, and sensual musk. Wear pink and make the boys wink!!!

We are expecting this collection to arrive before Mother's Day!

Rose City Festival 2009

The 88th annual Rose Show and Festival kicks off this evening with the Children's 31st Annual Chilren's Rose Bud Parade. I have come to Thomasville for several years to run the annual Rose City 10k ( a scenic 6.2 mile race that starts on downtown Broad Street), but the weekend of festivities include Live music downtown, parades, an orchid show, the Golf Classic Tournament, and Equestrian Dressage Show at Pebble Hill Plantation, and of course, in infamous rose show!!

You should also checkou the "Big Oak while visiting Thomasville. This is a "been there, done that" type of thing.. you don't have to stay for long!

It's Spa Night!

Not only do I not want to spend on a facial, but I just don't have the time to fit regular facials into my schedule right now. One night a week my husband has his darts night with the boys, which has become my spa night at home! This week I will be starting on the Intensive Resurfacing Peel which is a series of 12 weekly treatments. Fortunately, Murad's home facial kits are just as effective as most spa treatments and easy to use.
MURAD INTENSIVE RESURFACING PEEL
Brightening and smoothing effects similar to a chemical peel are enhanced by gentle Bamboo Bead microdermabrasion. Debris and exhausted cells are swept away to reveal youthful-looking skin while Glycolic and Salicylic Acids stimulate cell proliferation. Skin looks younger and feels smoother after just one treatment.

RESURGENCE RENEWAL HOME FACIAL TREATMENT

Improves elasticity, firmness, and hydration while diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to combat the signs of hormonal aging. Kit also includes firming and hydrating eye gel mask to lift and plump the delicate eye area while reducing the appearance of under eye damage. Use once weekly for four weeks.

Coming Soon To Lavish...Becca Cosmetics!

After six months of researching and testing countless make-up lines and listening to my customers needs, I have finally found one that I think will be perfect for my customers. Founded in Australia, Becca Cosmetics was launched in London in October 2001 after six years of research and development.
My main concern with finding the perfect cosmetic line was that I wanted make-up that women can easily wear during the day (with out looking too done up!) but also at night and for special occasions with full coverage. Becca is a high quality product that gives a natural yet flawless appearance. Stay tuned for quarterly Becca events at Lavish Boutique in Thomasville, Georgia.
Being from Australia, Becca is made for humidity. Perfect for us in the south.
Love how these girls are so natural looking. All the way from fair to darker complexion.

Love this Mascara! It actually conditions your lashes and is the "tube-it" kind. Whats great is at the end of the day you don't have raccoon circles. I DEFINITELY recommend this for brides on their wedding day!

Beach Tint for lips and cheeks. This product has won countless awards.
