David Cafiero

Do you recognize this entry? Probably not, but that's okay. It is from an old Domino magazine and saved in my files (professional for "folder")! It was designed and decorated by David Cafiero, who also designed my dream bedroom found here. Well, I also stumbled across this photo below, which just so happens to be in my Matouk wholesale catalog in the bathroom section.

I just love his style: clean, serene, with pops of color. And I see we also share a love for Yorkie's! I LOVE ME SOME YORKIE!!

And the Cribsie Award goes to...

It is no surprise that Aden and Anais has won the Cribsie Award for best sleep inducing swaddle blanket! Did you know that swaddling dates back to 4,000 BC? I didn't and I also didn't know all of the benefits of swaddling. Experts say that swaddling reproduces the cozy, calming environment of the womb and allows babies to sleep more peaceful by preventing spontaneous movements that wake them up during the night. (Babies have a tendency to throw their arms above their head while they are sleeping and it startles them. Aww, that's kind of cute!) The lightweight muslin that Aden and Anais uses has a natural give allowing you to wrap them tightly, yet also allowing the right amount of airflow to circulate and keep their body temperature regulated. So there. There's a lot more reason behind these cute, tightly wrapped up babies!

And yes, that is an old Domino Magazine pull-out. It was always a dream of mine to be on the cover of an issue one day (I dream big, I know! I think I even picked out my outfit!!!) or to be featured on the "10 Things I Love" page would have been just fine!

Anyways, Spring is my favorite season and I'm so glad it is in full bloom right now!

Our Home Away from Home

This will be our first summer with our airstream and I am dying for some roadtrips! So far we have only stayed at Grayton State Park, where we have found the perfect lot right on the the bay, a short bike ride from Seaside and across the dunes from the beach. Actually, it is quite fine with me if we just go back and forth between Thomasville and our "Million Dollar Lot"... I wish I were there now! Of course I am getting carried away with how I want to decorate the inside. Right now I am on a John Robshaw kick. It will give it that Bohemian feel and the bold prints can hide a little dirt and grime.

A little inspiration...

Will definitely have a Pendleton wool blanket for those not-so-Florida cool nights...

I will keep you posted on it's progress and you let me know of any State Parks/beaches to add to our weekend roadtrip list!

My Dream Bed.. In the very Near Future!

I can't tell you how many pictures I have saved on my computer of my "dream bedding." There is so much to choose from and I bounce back and forth from clean, monogrammed linens to bohemian block prints. I also have a husband to keep in mind while making this decision, which leads me to this dream bed below...The bed above (featured in Lonny Magazine) has Matouk Lowell Duvet and Shams paired with John Robshaw Indigo dipped bolsters.

I guess it is time to mention that we are now carrying both John Robshaw and Matouk Bedding!! And they've added these cute little storage caddy's to their line. They remind me of my younger brothers travel bag (when he was about 5) that would be full of tractors and the latest John Deere catalog for our road trips. These caddy's would have been perfect for Charles! And they would be perfect stocked with baby necessities at your next baby shower!
